The
differences between cultivars are rather small. 'Black
Knight' has inconspicuous flowers and 4-6” long foliage.
'Niger' has blue flowers. |

Unusual black foliage acts as a conversation piece and adds
year-round interest.
When
combined with lighter-colored plants, such as variegated
hostas, the contrast compliments each plant.
