Loropetalum chinense Var rubra 'Razzleberri'

Extra notes and interesting information:
Subtly beautiful plant, good in foreground, raised beds, woodland garden.
Young plants can be grown in hanging baskets.
In the Pacific Northwest, needs protection against hard freezes.
A little late summer maintenance revitalizes the bush for wonderful autumn and winter performance

Plant type: Evergreen shrub
Family: Hamamelidaceae
Height/Spread: Neat, compact habit 6-10 ft. high and wide, with tiers of arching or drooping branches. 

Leaves:  Lush foliage, changing from rich green tones over the summer, through autumn colors and into distinct bronze hues as the weather cools into winter.
Flowers: 
Bright pink fringe-like flowers are produced in clusters from early in spring and blossom sporadically over summer through late autumn.
Bloom Period:
Flowering is heaviest in spring, but some bloom likely at any time.
Diseases/pests:  Generally free of serious pests.
Conditions: Plant in slightly acid soils.

USDA Zones 6-9, 14-24
