Growing Conditions: Trilliums
are woodland plants and grow best in morning sun and afternoon
shade, or bright shade, beneath deciduous trees, or tall conifers.
Too much sun can burn foliage; too much shade and plants will not
flower or spread well. All trillium require humus-rich well drained
soil. Trillium luteum requires regular watering in summer. It is not
necessary to remove old flowers. Ants will disperse the seeds in the
garden to start new clumps.
